An improved offer from UniCredit for 9% of Alpha Bank, fluctuates at around €1.40 per share, as of the closing levels on Friday, according to reliable sources.

The crucial meeting of the Financial Stability Fund (FSF) was concluded in the early hours of Monday and, according to sources familiar with the proceedings, resulted in the acceptance of the improved offer from the Italian group at the current stock market valuation levels of Alpha Bank.

It is worth noting that the offer submitted on October 23 by UniCredit, as part of the strategic agreement jointly announced with Alpha Bank, envisaged a price of €1.33 per share. At that time, it represented a 4.72% premium based on the closing price of the stock on October 20 (€1.27).
