It was an Englishman and a German investor, looking for things in Greece. It sounds like a joke, but it's not.
The Englishman investor has hired a specialized company with international activities to find out as much as possible about a Greek Media Owner, whether he already has operations or is planning to initiate them. It is not specified what exactly, but he is searching with great enthusiasm.
At the same time, the German investor has tasked two serious advisors to find a suitable Greek bank for him to invest in, either by acquiring a small percentage through stock market purchases or through a private placement.
Signs of the times indicate - if nothing else - that the international investment climate for Greece remains vibrant despite the challenges of the European economy and ongoing geopolitical risks.
Both cyclical sectors, media and banks, are attracting international interest. It remains to be seen whether the two deals sought by the English and German investors will come to fruition.
