"A real cosmogony is taking place in the investments we make in our port infrastructure.

A cosmogony that, I would say, was delayed. Think about a country with such a vast and extensive coastline having its ports essentially neglected. That was the situation we found. We are making significant progress, the Port of Agios Konstantinos is just a small piece in this large developmental mosaic that concerns our port infrastructure as a whole," emphasized Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his address at the event marking the completion of the upgrade and expansion works at the Port of Agios Konstantinos.

He noted that the investment being made not only allows more visitors to depart from Agios Konstantinos to destinations in Evia or the Sporades but also enables the region of Sterea, and especially Fthiotida, to welcome visitors, as the port will now be accessible to small and medium-sized cruise ships.

"In this mountain and sea development plan, I believe that Agios Konstantinos can play a leading role, and I am pleased that through a public investment, we could contribute to the development of the area by adding significant port infrastructure," he said.
