The General Index recorded marginal changes in a sluggish session with limited turnover, although it remains close to the 1,260 units.

Specifically, the General Index closed at 1,260.52 units with a marginal increase of 0.14%, while it moved within a range of only 6.15 units (low at 1,254.5 with -0.34% and high at 1,260.65 with +0.15%).

The turnover amounted to 78.3 million euros, of which 5.1 million euros through 8 packages, with the volume at 21.9 million shares.

The banking index strengthened by 0.25% to 1,062.18 units, the FTSE recorded small gains of 0.08% at 3,074.15 units, and the FTSEM, which also closed with +0.08%, reached 2,084.85 units.

Sales were limited in the National Bank, but eventually closed higher at €6.238, with a gain of 0.61%.

In other banks, Alpha strengthened by 1.06% with transactions amounting to €5.1 million. Piraeus remained unchanged at €4.1 million, while Eurobank declined by 0.63% with transactions totaling €6.4 million.

Pressure  was exerted by Jumbo, which declined by 3.9% with a turnover of €3.6 million, as its shares are now trading without the right to the extraordinary dividend of €1.47.

Further sales were primarily seen in OTE with -0.85% and a turnover of €6 million, in OPAP with -0.14% and €5.6 million turnover, while Viohalco declined by 1% and Quest by 0.87%.

In the overall picture of the board, 52 stocks closed higher and 46 stocks closed lower.
