Upward trends prevailed in the first session of the week at the Athens Stock Exchange.
As investors' attention is focused on the Greek Investment Conference organized in London by Morgan Stanley in collaboration with the Athens Stock Exchange, featuring the participation of 37 listed companies, the market broke through the resistance level of 1,260 points, with increased trading activity.
Specifically, the General Price Index closed at 1,265.36 points, marking a 0.53% increase. Intraday, it reached a high of 1,267.31 points (+0.68%) and a low of 1,255.65 points (-0.24%).
The value of transactions amounted to 121.39 million euros, with 27,209,309 shares changing hands.
The high-cap index recorded a 0.26% increase, while the mid-cap index strengthened by 0.59%.
Sixty stocks moved upward, 44 declined, and 17 remained unchanged.
Among the individual indices, the Financial Services index (+1.93%) and the Travel index (+1.78%) experienced the highest gains. Conversely, the Personal Products index (-2.11%) and the Commerce index (-0.90%) suffered the most significant losses.
