Athens Stock Exchange recorded a mild increase of 0.39%, reaching 1,280 points, while awaiting the upgrade from Fitch. The trading volume remained at 65 million euros.
However, during a significant part of the session, the General Index faced downward pressure.
The banking index closed at -1.29%, reaching 1,068.69 points. The high-capitalization FTSE slightly strengthened by 0.06% to 3,114.37 points, while the mid-cap FTSE surged by +0.75% to 2,134.44 points.
National Bank with -1.78% and once again the highest turnover of the session at 11.5 million, while Eurobank lost 1.69%, Piraeus 1.04%, and Alpha limited the decline to -0.26%.
High capitalization found strong support from Lamda, Jumbo, Quest, and EYDAP, all moving with gains above 3%, while Autohellas, Sarantis, and Ellaktor strengthened by more than 2%.
OPAP with +1% and turnover of 4.4 million, TERNA Energy completed with +1.6% and 1.78 million, and Cenergy with +1.7% and 1.4 million.
In total, 58 stocks moved upward, compared to 45 declining ones across the entire board.
