The Economic Sentiment recorded a slight decline in November, while consumer confidence also showed marginal weakening, according to the economic sentiment survey by Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE).
Specifically, the Economic Senriment index declined in November and stood at 106.2 units, down from 106.6 units in October. In the business sector, this development is the result of a marginal decline in expectations in the Retail trade, a slight weakening in Industry and Construction, while optimistic expectations in Services do not offset the other trends. On the other hand, the consumer confidence index weakens marginally.
Overall, this year the climate index is moving at relatively high levels compared to last year, when central trends in the EU and the Eurozone are rather downward. Since the summer, when the political landscape stabilized after the elections, there have been no significant changes in the course of economic policy or in the broader economic data.
