The shares of the shipping company Okeanis Eco Tankers Corp, owned by the Alafouzos family, begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

This marks a simultaneous listing, as the company's shares are also listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in Norway. The shipping company, which operates a fleet of modern tankers for the transport of crude and refined products, is one of the few seeking access to the American capital market in recent times.

According to the company's management, this move aims to broaden its accessibility to capital markets.
