The Athens Stock Exchange recorded moderate gains in Wednesday's session, following a mild upward trend of the past few days, with support from banks.

The General Index records a modest increase of 0.36%, settling at 1,287.87 points, gaining almost five points compared to Tuesday's closing (1,283.12 points). 

The banking index remains in positive territory, with buyers returning and leading the sector to a +0.67% gain, reaching 1,053 points.

Alpha Bank's stock strengthens by 1.5%, reclaiming €1.50, while Eurobank's stock follows with a +0.7% increase, reaching €1.62. At the same time, Piraeus Bank's stock is trading at +0.5%, standing at €3.10, while National Bank's stock rises by +0.2%, reaching €6.18.
