Just before reaching the 1,300 units, the Athens Stock Exchange found itself once again.
The General Index strengthened by 0.87% to 1,298.48 points, with a turnover reaching 111.693 million euros (with 17.259 million euros traded in 24 blocks). It is noteworthy that the moving average turnover for the last 100 days is at 115 million euros.
Intraday, the General Index reached a gain of 1.17%, reaching 1,302.34 points.
The FTSE index of high capitalization moved upward by 0.98% to 3,143 points, and the FTSEM index of medium capitalization recorded gains of 0.84% to 2,228 points. The banking index gained 1.52%.
Eurobank gained 2.88%, and Piraeus Bank recorded gains of 1.66%. ETE moved upward as well (+1.29%), while Alpha Bank moved slightly positive (+0.1%).
In the high capitalization sector, strong performances were noted by Ellaktor, with gains of 6.40%, and Quest, which strengthened by 3.56%.
In the mid-capitalization sector, notable gains were observed with Intrakat recording profits of 5.01%, and Entersoft strengthening by 3.40%. Intracom also gained 2.26%.
71 stocks moved upwards, 42 stocks experienced a decline, while 11 stocks remained unchanged.
