The Competition Commission announced that on December 19, 2023, in a plenary meeting, it approved the concentration pertaining to the acquisition of exclusive control by Mytilineos over Imerys Bauxite Greece.

According to the Commission, the concentration under consideration has a vertical dimension and concerns specific related markets that are part of the bauxite and alumina production and trade.

In the view of the Competition Commission, the concentration will not result in changes to the structure of the relevant markets and therefore does not raise serious doubts as to its compatibility with the requirements for competition in the relevant markets it concerns.
