The Athens Stock Exchange retreated to 1,290 points on Friday (22/12), with pressure on banking stocks being the main feature of the last session before Christmas.

The General Index declined by 0.59%, closing at 1,290 points, with a trading volume of 76.38 million euros.

The large-cap index recorded a decrease of 0.74%, while the mid-cap index maintained its positive differentiation and ended the session with slight gains of +0.20%.

NBG declined by -2.48%, Alpha Bank decreased by -1.61%, Piraeus Bank experienced a -1.18% decline, and Eurobank recorded the smallest losses at -0.76%.

Out of the stocks traded in today's session, 44 moved upward, 66 moved downward, and 49 remained unchanged.
