Stock prices are down at the opening of today's trading session, with the market retreating below 1,370 points, amid negative sentiment in European markets.
The market tested the first support area this week, the 1,380-unit zone, amid an overall stabilising picture for the major global equity indices, and analysts expect the coming sessions to see increased volatility and possibly oscillations in the General Index around this level.
The General Index at 11:00 is at 1,366.44 points, down 1.44% with a trading value of over 14 million. The high-cap index falls by 1.49%, while the mid-cap index declines by 1.48%.
The banking index declines by 1.67%. Among the high-cap stocks, only the OTE share is marginally up. On the contrary, the biggest decline is recorded by Quest Symmetries (-3.18%), Sarantis (-2.55%), Coca Cola HBC (-2.18%) and Elvalhalcor (-1.82%).
