PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis said on Monday that he is confident that the way is now open for the truth about the wiretapping and surveillance of his phone to be revealed, following his meeting with the head of the Hellenic Communications Security and Privacy Authority, Christos Rammos, in the wake of the State Council's decision on his case.

"I am sure that by paving the way for the truth in this sordid case, I am also opening Pandora's box for [Prime Minister Kyriakos] Mitsotakis and his New Democracy government, which is deeply involved in a case that has undermined institutions and transparency," Androulakis added.

He underlined that "this scandal is not only political but also economic , as some people made millions from the marketing of illegal software.". Regarding his meeting with Rammos, Androulakis said he asked the head of the ADAE to speed up the procedures.

"He told me that he is waiting for the finalisation of the decision and its delivery, and then he will immediately do everything legal and appropriate so that I can get the information I need and, in turn, I can inform the Greek people, as I have promised," the PASOK-KINAL leader added.
