In line with its strategic priority to strengthen Sustainable Development and integrate ESG criteria in its portfolio of companies, the Growthfund has coordinated the preparation of Sustainable Development Reports at a global level, with 2022 as the reference year.

All of its subsidiaries completed and published the reports for the first time.

This is a major innovation in public sector companies, as until now the subsidiaries of the GrowthFund have mainly published financial reports. The starting point was the good cooperation and partnership of executives from different departments within each subsidiary, where new working groups on ESG issues were formed on a case-by-case basis in order to gather the required data. Sustainability Reports were prepared with reference to international sustainability standards (e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD recommendations).

It is worth noting that the companies conducted materiality surveys as well as, where applicable, Double Materiality Surveys with the aim of identifying the material ESG issues of concern to their stakeholders. Thus, the reports bring together important quantitative data as well as implemented initiatives of the Growthfund subsidiaries in the areas where they are called upon to act in order to contribute effectively to enhancing sustainable development.
