"Banks have been using traditional artificial intelligence (AI) for years for applications such as fraud management. But we don't have clear guidelines on how to use the new form of AI. Traditional AI will offer many benefits to the banking sector as well," said Stratos Molyviatis, General Manager - Chief Operating Office, National Bank of Greece, during a discussion on "AI for all, on the path to responsible and sustainable technology" at the 9th Delphi Economic Forum.

He further added: "At the National Bank, we believe that we need to study internal affairs. In 2024, we want to use a chat bot mainly as a virtual assistant and replace the chat bots we had in the past. We are already training more than 260 employees, so we will then promote this training to more than 600 people.

A specific section of 25 employees, only working on AI projects." "We need to avoid creating a skills gap between employees. We must stop the 'bleeding', this gap that will get worse in the coming years. We face an unprecedented challenge. There are no easy solutions, set clear boundaries."
