The inauguration of the E65 Motorway of Central Greece takes place today, Tuesday (23/4), as the Lamia - Kalambaka section is handed over to traffic. The new sections Lamia - Xiniada (18.5 km) and Trikala - Kalambaka (25 km) will be handed over to traffic in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras.

According to the figures announced, it has the necessary capacity of a modern motorway with two lanes of traffic in each direction plus an emergency lane, essentially connecting Eastern and Western Greece. It is recalled, according to data from the Central Road, that the last 46 km of the motorway are under construction, starting from the Kalambaka interchange and reaching up to the Egnatia Odos, west of Grevena.
