Ruling New Democracy (ND) continues to command a substantial lead over its political rivals ahead of June’s European Elections, according to the latest poll published by Opinion Poll on Tuesday.
The results showed ND was ahead by a large margin of more than 15 percentage points (33.2%) over second-placed leftist SYRIZA (15.1%) in voting estimation, while PASOK came in a close third at 12%, with right-wing “Greek Solution” appearing resurgent with an impressive 10.5%. The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) was in fifth place with 8.7%.
Regarding the question of voter intention, New Democracy stands at 28.5%, SYRIZA at 13%, PASOK at 10.3%, Greek Solution at 9%, and KKE at 7.5%. The poll shows that ND has a slight drop in voter estimation compared to February (34.3%), while SYRIZA has risen by 2.6 percentage points, from 12.5% to 15.1%. PASOK has dropped by 2.6 percentage points, from 14.6% to 12%, while the “Greek Solution” has seen a one-point increase.
