Mytilineos recorded a 10% increase in net income in the first quarter of 2024, which amounted to €158 million in the first quarter of 2024, compared to €143 million in the first quarter of 2023.

At the same time, it recorded a 12% increase in Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) which amounted to 252 million compared to 225 million in Q1 2023.

Earnings per share amounted to EUR 1,141, up 10% compared to the same period last year.

As highlighted in a company statement, following the historically high performance recorded in 2023, Mytilineos at the beginning of 2024 remains firmly on track for strong growth, successfully responding to a challenging context related to a weak price environment, increasing geopolitical tension, which has a direct impact on energy markets, while borrowing rates still remain at their highest levels in recent years.

LSE LISTING

MYTILINEOS is considering the possibility of listing its shares on an international stock exchange, including the London Stock Exchange, within the next 12-18 months.

As the company said in a statement, MYTILINEOS Energy & Metals, having consistently and repeatedly exceeded its medium-term and strategic objectives, has initiated a review and evaluation of its strategic options, in collaboration with its financial, legal and tax advisors, with the aim of continued growth and value creation for its shareholders.

As part of this extensive strategic review, MYTILINEOS will evaluate various organic and non-organic growth opportunities, its capital allocation model, its optimal balance sheet structure (capital structure) and the most appropriate structure for trading its shares on a regulated market (listing structure)
