Following the salary and benefit increases effective from 1 January, the government is proceeding with a new boost to the incomes of civil servants. This is a 15% efficiency increase for civil servants, which is being discussed at the ongoing Cabinet meeting.

-The productivity bonus will be inextricably linked to the target setting and evaluation system for civil servants.

-Performance measurement indicators will be set and supervisors will nominate beneficiaries for bonuses from among 400,000 employees.

-40% of the reward amount will be distributed equally among employees and 60% according to each employee's contribution.

-The bonus will be applied horizontally in the public sector.

"Evaluation is primarily of an encouraging and creative nature and our purpose is to reward civil servants who not only simply succeed, but often exceed the targets we have set..." the Prime Minister stressed in his introduction to the cabinet.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis kept the stakes of the June 9 ballot at the forefront, both at the European and national level. "Obviously, it will be decided how strong and effective the voices of Greek demands will be in the European Parliament, but to a certain extent it will also be decided how stable the political scene is, so that our country can remain on the path of progress, confidently moving closer and closer to Europe...", he said and attacked the opposition and especially the SYRIZA of Stefanos Kasselakis for parochial tactics.
