The annual passenger traffic at Athens International Airport increased by 16.3% in April, reaching a total of 2.49 million passengers. In fact, domestic traffic increased by 4.1% compared to the same month last year, while international traffic jumped by 21.7%.

In total, in the first quarter of 2024, the airport's traffic reached 7.7 million passengers, an increase of 16.5%. Domestic traffic increased by 8.4% in the first quarter and international traffic increased by 20.2%.

The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the four-month period amounted to 67,447, an increase of 13.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2023. Both domestic and international flights recorded an increase of 5.9% and 19.3%, respectively, compared to 2023.
