The total value of exports in March 2024 was €4,283.4 million (4,671.1 million dollars), down 11.7% from €4,851.2 million (5,209.0 million dollars) in March 2023, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority. The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded in March 2024 was a drop of €578.4 million, or 16.2%, and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships recorded in March 2024 recorded a drop of €577.5 million, or 16.2%, in comparison with March 2023.

The total value of imports in March 2024 amounted to €6,694.6 million (7,257.1 million dollars) in comparison with €7,443.6 million (7,945.0 million dollars) in March 2023, recording a drop in euros of 10.1%. The corresponding value excluding oil products in March 2024 recorded a drop of €297.3 million, or 5.4%, and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in March 2024 recorded a drop of €307.8 million, or 5.6%, in comparison with March 2023.

The deficit of the trade balance in March 2024 amounted to €2,411.2 million (2,586.0 million dollars) in comparison with €2,592.4 million (2,736.0 million dollars) in March 2023, recording a drop in euros of 7.0%.The corresponding value of the deficit excluding oil products in March 2024 recorded an increase of 281.1 million euros, or 14.3%, and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in March 2024 recorded an increase of €269.6 million, or 13.7%, in comparison with March 2023.

The total value of imports for the 3-month period from January to March 2024 amounted to €20,301.9 million (21,973.6 million dollars) in comparison with €21,186.4 million (22,663.5 million dollars) for the corresponding period of the year 2023, recording a drop in euros of 4.2%.The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded a drop of €55.9 million, or 0.4%, and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships recorded a drop of €64.9 million, or 0.4%, in comparison with the period from January to March 2023.

The total value of exports for the 3-month period from January to March 2024 amounted to €12,327.4 million (13,424.6 million dollars) in comparison with €13,852.7 million (14,907.6 million dollars) for the corresponding period of the year 2023, recording a drop in euros of 11.0%. The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded a drop of €882.0 million, or 9.3%, and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships recorded a drop of €832.8 million, or 8.8%, in comparison with the period from January to March 2023.

The deficit of the trade balance for the 3-month period from January to March 2024 amounted to €7,974.5 million (8,549.0 million dollars) in comparison with €7,333.7 million (7,755.9 million dollars) for the corresponding period of the year 2023, recording an increase in euros of 8.7%. The corresponding deficit excluding oil products recorded an increase of €826.1 million, or 14.5%, and the corresponding deficit excluding oil products and ships recorded an increase of €767.9 million, or 13.5%.
