The construction works of the new green upgraded building development and the construction of the new building of the Technical Chamber of Greece (ΤCG) have started, in order for the TCG and the Engineers to acquire their new home, in a modern, bioclimatic, energy upgraded, functional and accessible, with the most modern supporting infrastructure and uses, building complex, which will be ready to welcome them in two years, by the end of 2025 in Maroussi.

The start of the construction work to acquire the Technical Chamber of Greece's own modern building, which coincides with the anniversary of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Technical Chamber of Greece, took place on the morning of Tuesday 14 May 2024, in the presence of the President of the Technical Chamber of Greece George Stasinos and representatives of the contractor, the company "Di TERNA", which has taken over as a special purpose company, Mr. Dimitris Andriopoulos (Managing Director of Dimand SA), Mr. Petros Suretis (Executive Advisor, Member of the Board of Directors, GEK TERNA), Mr. George Perdikaris (Member of the Executive Committee, GEK TERNA), and the Head of the General Directorate of Project Development - Professional & Scientific Issues of TCG Mr. Nikos Panagiotopoulos and executives of TCG and the companies implementing the project.

The President of the TCG and the representatives of the contractor, in their statements, described it as "a historic day for the TCG,"  the day of the start of work for the construction of the new headquarters of the TCG, which began with excavation work for the settlement of the construction site for the foundation of the building development on the privately owned and for decades unused land of the TCG, in the location of the junction Dachtyliidi, on the streets L. Kifissia, Distomo, Alamana, and Attiki Odos, in the Municipality of Maroussi.

George Stasinos, President of the Technical Chamber of Greece, said: "Today we started an important project for the TCG, which has been trying to do since the 1970s, which owns this particular property, land. We are starting to build two green bioclimatic buildings, which we believe will become a landmark for the area, in collaboration with the contractors, TERNA and Dimand. It is envisaged that in two years this important project, with the two buildings, will be completed and will have something to offer mainly to the engineers but also to the local community and the wider area. We are starting construction work today and will make a model building. It is a happy coincidence that we were able, on the 100th anniversary of the TEI, to start work on the new TCG building on the privately owned land on Kifissia Avenue, at its junction with Attiki Odos."

Dimitris Andriopoulos, CEO of Dimand SA and DI TERNA Special Purpose Company, said: "Today is a historic day for TCG. After many years, the development of this unique property in the so-called "Ring of Kifissia Avenue," a very symbolic and important point for Athens, opposite the central building of OTE, is starting. I think that by exploiting this property, TCG is giving a very positive message in the context of the wider exploitation of public property. So here, by the method of consideration and after a public tender, the new TCG Hall will be built, which will be about 4,000 square meters, and another building of about 7,500 square metres, plus the underground areas. The Medical Center, along with TERNA and Dimand, are the investors in this bioclimatic project, which will receive LEED certification, because we have to, in addition to ESG and various announcements, be substantial in what we call green development and use of all materials that will have sustainability in the future. The environment and protection from natural disasters are two of the concepts of the TCG, and we will all contribute in that direction."
