In a statement, Aegean refers to the amount of the dividend, which, based on the decision of the Annual General Meeting of its shareholders on April 30, 2024, was set at EUR 0.75 per share.
The dividend corresponding to the 174,725 treasury shares held by the company—which are not entitled to dividends as defined by applicable legislation—is added to the above dividend amount to be paid per share, resulting in a gross amount of €0.7514561650 per share.
The announcement makes it clear that the dividend will be subject to a 5% withholding tax under article 24 of Law 4646/2019, which changed articles 40 and 64 of Law 4172/2013. This means that the net dividend payable will be 0.7138833568 euros per share, if that applies.
It is reminded that the cut-off date from which the shares will be traded without the right to receive dividends is set for Monday, May 20, 2024; and that the beneficiaries of the dividend payment will be the shareholders registered in the records of the Securities Exchange System on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 (the record date).
The dividend payment start date for the beneficiaries will be Monday, May 27, 2024.
