Vodafone published its financial results on Tuesday, with its subsidiary Vodafone Greece recording a significant performance, with total revenues breaking the €1 billion barrier from April 2023 to March 2024, an increase of more than 5% compared to the same period last year.

On the flip side, adjusted EBITDA declined by 20% to €201 million. In the report, it is stated that there is an exceptional bad debt related to certain customer contracts in Greece that impacted operating profitability overall.

It is worth noting that for Q2 2023 alone, Vodafone Greece's service revenues recorded organic growth of 10.2%, a performance that reflects strong demand for connectivity services from corporate customers and a significant contribution from ICT projects.

Meanwhile, in mobile, contract customers grew by 146,000 in the year and accounted for 45.4% of the company's total base. For the same period, the subscriber base in fixed telephony remained relatively stable.

Still, for Vodafone TV, the year ended with more than 200,000 subscribers. Finally, data usage increased by almost 60% year-on-year to 453 PetaByte.

Commenting on the financial results for the whole group, CEO Margherita Della Valle said, among other things, that "in the coming year there is still a lot to be done. We will increase our investment in customer experience, improve our performance in Germany, and accelerate our momentum in operations while continuing to simplify our operations across the group."
