Softone Group, a provider of cloud-based business software solutions in Greece and SE Europe, announces a strategic partnership with Euronet, an international provider of financial and technological payment solutions. The collaboration's goal is to offer comprehensive solutions that support the use of payment cards in commercial transactions as the relevant legislation currently dictates.

The cooperation includes the interconnection of all Softone Group's commercial applications and digital cash systems with Euronet's electronic payment acceptance platform and terminals (epay POS/ePOS), including the configuration of "ALL IN ONE" solutions that serve the entire range of transactions through a single device, from issuing and printing receipts to accepting electronic payments and transmitting the required tax data to the myDATA platform. This interface offers a wide range of solutions for online and physical businesses at a reduced cost, responding directly to the needs of Euronet's 210,000+ clients and Softone's 80,000+ client businesses, and is gradually being extended to the entire Greek market.

Accompanied by a series of commercial and operational incentives and benefits, the cooperation between the two companies allows businesses and professionals to meet the challenges and opportunities created by the increasing adoption of electronic payments by consumers while harmonizing with the obligation to interconnect cash systems and POS terminals.

"With this strategic partnership, we can offer more businesses, existing and new customers investing in their computerization, a certified and functional solution to interface their cash applications with POS terminals for card transactions. Our goal is to simplify the collection processes for the retail store, restaurant, hotel, pharmacy, e-shop, etc., so that entrepreneurs can focus on sales and customer service," said Spyros Armeniakos, Managing Director of Euronet Merchant Services (ePay) in Greece, adding that "the agreement with Softone Group demonstrates our collaborative vision for the benefit of customers and ultimately the end consumer and is an outgrowth of Euronet's investments in Greece, which started with the acquisition of Piraeus Bank's Merchant Acquiring business in March 2022, and is evolving with strategic partnerships and bringing truly useful value-added services to the market."

Softone Group CEO Panos Martinis said: "Our partnership with Euronet marks another milestone on the path towards the integration of our cloud-based software solutions with the leading payment solutions in Greece and Southeastern Europe. Partnering with a global leader in fintech solutions unlocks new opportunities for our mutual customers, enabling them to modernize their payment processes and derive value through an integrated operations and payment management offering. We are excited to launch this partnership and look forward to its long-term and continued expansion."
