Indicatively, the auditors of the Hellenic Revenue Service confiscated a total of over:

• 800.000 €, 90.000 $ and 9.700G BP liquid assets
• 1,000,000 € of duty & tax due on smuggled tobacco
• 10.120 lt. of illegal alcoholic products

For example, customs auditors proceeded with the detection and freezing of significant amounts of money. Specifically, at the Athens Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos,"  while they were not declared to Customs, they found:

• 46.500€ & 9.080$ to a passenger who had arrived from Istanbul
• 13.850€ & 2.000$ to a passenger who had arrived from Istanbul.
• 40,000€ to a passenger who had arrived from Geneva
• 27.000$ to a passenger who had arrived from Cairo
• 53,000€ to a passenger who had arrived from Tehran via Istanbul
• 75,700€ to a passenger who had arrived from Tehran via Istanbul
• 28.800€ & 11.000$ to a passenger who had arrived from Doha, Qatar
• 40,000€ to a passenger who had arrived from Tehran
• 230,000€ to a passenger arriving from Jordan
