            Turnover down 6.3% in April
        
        
            ELSTAT data shows that the retail trade turnover fell by 6.3% in April.
        
        
        
     
    
    
    The turnover in retail trade decreased by 6.3% in April, according to ELSTAT data.
Specifically, the Hellenic Statistical Authority announced the Retail Trade Turnover and Volume Indices, with base year 2021 = 100.0 and reference month April 2024, the evolution of which, according to provisional data and corrected for the number of working days of a typical month of equal duration, is as follows:
- The General Index of Turnover in the month of April 2024, compared to the corresponding index of April 2023, showed a decrease of 1.4%, and compared to the corresponding index of March 2024, a decrease of 2.3%.
- The General Volume Index (turnover at constant prices) in the month of April 2024, compared to the corresponding index of April 2023, showed a decrease of 6.3%, and compared to the corresponding index of March 2024, a decrease of 2.8%.
- The seasonally adjusted General Index of Turnover in the month of April 2024, compared to the corresponding index in March 2024, showed a decrease of 5.9%.
- The seasonally adjusted General Volume Index in the month of April 2024, compared to the corresponding index in March 2024, showed a decrease of 5.7%.
