The new general manager of the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is Jann Kaiser, who was previously the hotel manager. According to a statement, Kaiser is a creative visionary with extensive experience and multiple roles in the hospitality industry. His career spans two decades in five countries, six cities, and seven different Four Seasons hotels.

For Kaiser, the entire luxury hospitality experience is based on a holistic and evolutionary process. "With our unique combination of luxury, comfort, and aesthetics, we strive to offer our guests an experience that is not just a stay but a universal approach for all the senses," he says. "For me, it comes down to how the employees feel, how it makes guests and the community feel, and the impact it has on the overall growth and development of the hotel."

The Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens attracts high-profile international names along with a wide range of global visitors and Athens residents. Being part of the local culture is vital. "I like to engage with and learn from other industries, from fashion to automotive. With bold and innovative approaches, we aim to redefine the guest experience and create memorable moments that exceed expectations."

His first position was at the illustrious Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire, and he then held positions as director of food and beverage at Four Seasons in Istanbul, Beirut, Chicago, and London after graduating from Hotelschool The Hague. During his tenure as hotel manager at Four Seasons Ten Trinity in London, the property secured numerous titles, including five-star Forbes Awards, a second Michelin star for La Dame de Paris, and AA Hotel of the Year London 2018–2019. In 2021, Kaiser moved to the Athenian Riviera, taking over our own Four Seasons Astir Palace as hotel manager, "orchestrating" a team of around 1,000+ employees during the summer months.

He quickly established himself because of his desire to advance sustainability and creativity through a contemporary strategy. In 2023, Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens was ranked 35th in the 50 Best Hotels in the World (50Best), the only Greek hotel to feature on the list, and was awarded the first ever Five Star rating by Forbes Magazine.

Now, as the new general manager of the five-star hotel, Kaiser looks forward to enhancing the culture and reputation of the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens and charting an even more inspiring holistic strategy focused on enhancing the guest and employee experience of the hotel.

"It is about respecting the role that each individual, team member, guest, and community contributor plays in the growth and development of the whole," he concludes. "Being part of the local culture is vital to us, as is opening up the range of experiences at the hotel to different guests. The aim is to be one of the most recognisable and desirable properties on the planet, and believe me, the whole team is working towards that."
