A new Board of Directors was formed by the Association representing retail companies in Greece at the annual general meeting of its members held yesterday, Tuesday, July 2. The new composition begins its three-year term of office, which will last until July 2027.

The composition of the Board

Kostas Gerardos (Plaisio) was elected as the new President of the SELPE, Panagiotis Vretos (Public) as Vice President, Yannis Vassilakos (Kotsovolos) as Secretary General and Dimitris Kolettas (Attrattivo) as Treasurer. The new Board is completed with Vassilis Fourlis (IKEA), Antonis Makris (Anna Maria Mazarakis), Ilias Malamas (ITX Hellas - Zara), Nikos Moustakas (Moustakas) and George Papantonis (S/M Asteras) as members of the Board. At the same time, Nikolaos-Panagiotis Konstantinou (Athens Metro Mall), Panagiotis Sykaras (Sykaras P.I & Co.), & George Bitharas (B&F Group) were elected as alternate members, while Antonis Zairis remains in the position of General Manager and Deputy Vice Chairman.

The new management team presented an ambitious proposal to strengthen and develop the Association, with thematic conferences in critical retail sectors, working lunches with government and business community executives, as well as promotion of the industry in the wider economy.

The retail sector records collective sales of over €70 billion and consists of more than 15,000 businesses.
