Major hotel projects managed by SWOT Hospitality have been launched over a three-year period, with the aim of increasing its portfolio to 18 hotels from 12 today and its turnover to €100 million from €50 million.

More specifically:

  • The first JW Marriott in Marathi, Chania, is expected to open in 2025, with 160 rooms
  • In 2026, Destination by Hyatt is scheduled to open in Paros, a brand with a presence in Ibiza and Sardinia.
  • In 2027, the AC Hotel by Marriott in Belgrade is expected to open, which is SWOT's first project outside Greece.

It should be noted that the company has been entrusted to AFI Europe, the largest real estate group in Serbia, with €10 billion in assets and a presence in 7 countries. Executives of the company underline that "our development policy includes expansion and abroad, with a focus on Southeastern Europe and Italy in the first instance.".

CORFU PALACE, OLVOS

With regard to other projects in Greece, it is noted that the company undertook the management and renovation of the Corfu Palace in Corfu, which, as noted in BnB Daily on 6/6, is a hotel that passed last year to the ownership of Henry Holterman, head of Reggeborgh Invest. At the same time, the company also entered the hotel rental sector, as it rented from Intracom Properties (owned by Socrates Kokkalis) the Koufonisia Resort, which is operating under a revamped name of Olvos Koufonisia and recently bidding for in the tender for the lease (25 + 10 years) of EOA's property, formerly Civitel Hotel in Maroussi, to a consortium with REDS of the Ellaktor group. Olvos is a brand created by Swot, which already has a presence in Santorini, Mykonos and Porto Heli, aiming to to develop it further in the coming years.
