The submission of income tax returns by the deadline was successfully completed on Friday, August 2. In just 100 days, from April 25 to August 2, 2024, 6,543,853 individual returns were filed, the largest number of timely returns recorded in the last nine years. 

This means that, on average, 65,439 returns were submitted every day. These figures show, according to the Independent Authority for Public Revenues, that citizens and accountants—tax advisers—met their obligations in the shortest time frame in the last nine years.

With regard to the procedure for disputing the presumptions, 4,358 individuals expressed their intention to do so, out of 401,565 individuals cleared under this procedure, out of a total of 713,477 taxable persons. That is, only 1% of those subjected. Of these, 263 taxpayers have completed the procedure to date.
