The digital procedure for the submission and management of the Transit Log of private vessels of foreign flag is put into operation, according to the decision A. 1124/2024 of the Governor of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue, Giorgos Pitsilis.

In particular, the procedure concerns private yachts of more than 7 meters in total length that call at Greek ports, as regards the submission and management of a movement report

a. limited validity, provided that:

- they fly the flag of a third country and are owned or held by persons established in a third country / or they fly the flag of another Member State and are owned by persons established in a third country,
- they have not paid the customs duties to which they are liable

b. of unlimited validity, provided that:

They fly the flag of a third country and belong to persons established in a third country or in an EU Member State.
The customs duties due on them have been paid

According to the legislation in force, vessels with the above characteristics are required to submit a "Transit Log" to the competent Customs Office in order to move freely in Greek territorial waters. Now, the process of submitting the movement log and the relevant documents is completed in a few minutes on the myAADE digital portal (myaade.gov.gr) under Applications > Customs Services > Transit Log - Movement Log.

The new digital procedure significantly reduces the time needed to issue the Transit Log, facilitating the entry into the country of foreign travellers with yachts. Indicatively, 8,033 Transit Logs were issued in 2022, 10,132 in 2023, while 4,529 have already been issued so far this year.
