The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announced today that the General Index of Industrial Production of June 2024, compared to the corresponding index of June 2023, showed an increase of 9.5% compared to a decrease of 3.0% in the corresponding comparison of 2023 with 2022.

At the same time, the average General Industrial Production Index for the period January to June 2024, compared to the corresponding index for the period January to June 2023, showed an increase of 6.4%.
The seasonally adjusted General Industrial Production Index for June 2024, compared with the corresponding index for May 2024, showed an increase of 1.4%.

The index for the leather and leather products industry had the largest percentage increase, while the index for the mining and quarrying industry had the largest percentage decrease in June 2024 compared to May 2024. When comparing the June 2024 indexes with the corresponding indexes in June 2023, the largest percentage increase was recorded in the coke and refined petroleum products industry, while the largest percentage decrease was recorded in the coal and lignite extraction-crude oil and natural gas extraction-supporting mining activities industry.
