The Athens Stock Exchange continues to accumulate strength, with investors engaging in selective positioning around the resistance of 1,440 points.
More specifically, in the second session of the week, the General Index is up slightly by 0.28% to 1,441.75 points, gaining four points compared to Monday's close (1,437.68 points).
The arc of the daily fluctuations extends four points (from 1,437.99 to 1,441.93 points), with the turnover of the trading being just 2.5 million in the first 15 minutes.
On the board, now, the index-weighted Coca-Cola share is strengthening above 32 euros, giving a boost to the rest of the market, where Intralot continues its climb towards 1.2 euros. On the other hand, OPAP and PPC are moving in negative territory.
The banking index continues the stagnation pattern of the last few days, with the result that it is +0.03% and 1,284 points.
The Piraeus share is up +0.28% and 3.963 euros, the Eurobank share follows at +0.19% and 2.089 euros, the Alpha share is unchanged at 1.59 euros; and the Ethniki share retreats -0.15% and 8.002 euros.
In the high-cap index (+0.15% and 3,509 points), Coca - Cola's share expands by +1.4% and returns to 32 euros. Sarantis and Hellaktor follow at +1%, while shares of Elvalhalcor, GEK TERNA, Viohalco, and Jumbo gain at least 1%. On the flip side, OPAP and PPC lose 0.3% each. Cenergy is also in marginally negative territory, which this afternoon publishes its first-half figures.
As for the mid-cap index (-0.06% and 2,290 points), Intralot's shares stand out positively at +1% and 1.2 euros, continuing the convergence with the 6-year highs (1.27 euros). Dimand's share, meanwhile, expands to +1.1% and 9.80 euros. On the contrary, Intrakat and Optima shares retreat by at least 0.6%.
