Selective market movements were recorded today (28/8) on the Athens Stock Exchange, with investors engaging in cautious positioning, remaining firmly at the 1,440-unit level.

The first half corporate results and the upcoming restructuring of the MSCI indices are the main events of the current week, which give... "bread" to the buyers.

On the other hand, of course, the market is still looking for a strong catalyst, which will reverse the stagnation pattern of the last few days and which will allow an upward escape.

In this environment, the General Index is up slightly by 0.41% to 1,438.29 points, gaining about six points compared to Tuesday's close (1,432.46 points).

The arc of the daily fluctuations extends to four points (from 1,434.01 to 1,438.81 points), with the turnover of the trading volume hovering at just 2 million in the first 15 minutes.

Piraeus' share is up +0.64% and 3.905 euros, Alpha's share follows at +0.16% and 1.5925 euros, Eurobank's share is unchanged at 2.10 euros, while National Bank's share is limited to -0.40% and 7.988 euros.

In the high-cap index (+0.44% and 3,506 points), Coca - Cola's share climbs +2.5% to €32.8 in an attempt to return to this year's highs. Viohalco, Sarantis and PPC are up at least 1%, while Metlen's share gains 0.6%. On the other hand, Cenergy's shares lose a marginal 0.2%, after a signal for an AMK of up to 200 million euros. Meanwhile, EYDAP's share price retracts to -1.4% and EUR 5.4.

As for the mid-cap index (+0.04% and 2,282 points), Ideal's share tries to stand out at +1% and 5.8 euros, while Austriacard - Lavipharm shares are also gaining close to +1%. Beyond that, the shares of AXAE, Intracom, Intralot, Intrakat and Dimand are up 0.5%. In contrast, the shares of EYATH fall -0.6% to -0.6% and EUR 3.2.
