The Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Robert Habeck and the German Minister of Food and Agriculture, Cem Özdemir, inaugurated the German pavilion at the 88th TIF. This is an opportunity to strengthen Greek-German economic relations but also to recognize new opportunities, as the Prime Minister stressed from the podium at the opening of the German Pavilion, in the context of Germany's participation as Guest of Honor.

EXCELLENT COOPERATION

Mitsotakis spoke of excellent cooperation at bilateral level, underscoring the great importance for Greece of Germany's participation as Guest of Honor at the 88th TIF. According to the Greek Prime Minister, the presence of 135 German companies and institutions at the German pavilion is proof of the strong bilateral economic ties. He added that the Greek economy is growing very fast and presents many opportunities for German companies in terms of investment.

'LEGENDARY' EXHIBITION

For his part, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Robert Habeck, noted that this is Germany's largest participation in a foreign trade fair in the last 25 years and described the TIF as legendary and an exhibition that is not common in Europe and appeals to the world. In fact, he said that Germany's participation as the Guest of Honor is a great opportunity and stressed that it is the people who have created the friendship between the two countries. He invited people to visit the German pavilion.

STRONG RELATIONS

In response, Cem zdemir, Germany's Minister of Food and Agriculture, stated that Germany's attendance at the 88th TIF highlighted the close ties between the two nations at a time when Greece was suffering from the fires, a challenge he claimed Germany also faced. He stressed that the two countries are on the same page in terms of addressing the challenges of the climate crisis.

THE LARGEST FOREIGN PARTICIPATION

Finally, the President of TIF-HELEXPO, Tasos Tzikas, noted that the German participation is the largest participation of a foreign country in the history of the institution. Then they all cut the ribbon of the German pavilion, officially inaugurating Germany's participation as Guest of Honor at the 88th TIF. Following that, there was a tour of the German pavilion's grounds, which have a distinctive green character. Earlier, the Prime Minister had the customary meeting with the TIF-HELEXPO Board of Directors, in which he underlined, among other things, the company's efforts to make the TIF an attractive destination, and then toured the exhibition.
