Up by 8.5% in the first nine months

Deficit increases to €19.39 billion in 7 months
Imports increased by 2.5% between January and July 2024, compared to a 1.7% decrease in imports, resulting in a 9.6% increase in the trade deficit, according to data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
Trade deficit up 15% in 5 months
The trade deficit in the period January–May 2024 amounted to €14,420.0 million, an increase of 15% in euro terms.
