The extraordinary meeting of the KYSEA at Maximos Mansion regarding the tension in the Middle East, chaired by the Prime Minister, has been completed. 

During the meeting, an assessment of the latest developments in the Middle East, following Iran's attacks against Israel, was made. At the same time, the security situation was assessed and the plan to evacuate Greeks from Lebanon was discussed.

"Greece condemns in the strongest possible terms Iran's attacks against Israel. This is a serious escalation that threatens regional stability and security. Greece supports the people of Israel and their right to live in security and reiterates its call for an immediate de-escalation. The Greek authorities remain vigilant at all levels, intensifying controls and cooperation for the exchange of information," the government spokesman said in a statement.
