The continued exploration of potential markets in Europe and other parts of the world and participation in tenders that may be announced for ground handling licenses are on Goldair Handling's plans for this year as well.

It also announced at the beginning of 2024 its entry into Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Airport, in Nagpur, India, a market in which it had entered in 2022 with a presence at two airports through the Goldair-LAS joint venture.

Meanwhile, since the beginning of the year, in Luxembourg, the country's Ministry of Transport and Public Works, Luxair, granted the Greek company one of the two ground handling (cargo) licenses for Findel Airport.

36 AIRPORTS

At the end of 2023, the company launched its operations at Belgrade airport. We remind that last year the company participated in international tenders in Germany, Luxembourg and India. It is estimated that in 2023 the company, which has a presence in 36 airports in 6 countries, managed over 160,000 flights with a staff of about 5,000 people.

SWITZERLAND

For Switzerland, it is noted that the agreement had been made between Goldair AAS Assistance—a joint venture between Goldair Handling and Swiss Airline Assistance Switzerland and Zurich Airport—for the exclusive provision of services to passengers with disabilities. This agreement started in 2020 and will be completed at the end of this year.

THE SIZES

On a metrics level, the data from flights and Greece's tourism product, which continues to gain ground in passenger preferences, create optimism in Goldair's management for further growth in metrics, which was also reflected in the significant increase in the company's turnover in the first half of the year.

FLIGHT & PASSENGER ARRIVALS

Last spring, the National Flight Coordination Organisation (NFCA) predicted an increase of 0.33% for aircraft arrivals this year. In terms of passenger traffic, international air arrivals in the period January-August 2024 reached 18.9 million, up 8% (+1.4 million arrivals) compared to the same period last year, according to INSETE Intelligence.

THE MEASURES

In terms of the past year, the company ran at 15.46%, with turnover approaching €124m, while final profitability fell slightly although it remained high.
