The Independent Public Revenue Authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Governance, is introducing a new digital procedure for the submission of agreements for the commissioning of technical works over 6,000 euros by a contractor or subcontractor, starting from 1/11, with the creation of a special digital application, Gov.gr.

Specifically, decisions by the Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou and the Governor of the Hellenic Tax Authority George Pitsilis set out the following:

• The agreements are posted and digitally certified before the start of the work.
• The posting of the agreements is done through the application "Digital Confirmation of Agreements for the Undertaking of Technical Works by Contractor/Subcontractor" of the Single Digital Portal of Public Administration (gov.gr).
• The submitted data are made available to the AADE through relevant interoperability and no further action is required from citizens.

With the new procedure, the submission of more than 70,000 agreements per year is fully digitised (end-to-end).

The new procedure:

⦁ It makes it easier for taxpayers to fulfil their obligation simply and directly,
⦁ Enhances the efficiency of data management and utilization by the AADE,
⦁ Saves human resources, as the existing procedure of submitting the agreements through the "My Requests" application of the myAADE digital portal is abolished and the processing of the request by an employee of the Independent Authority is no longer required.

It is clarified that taxpayers who have pending agreements to undertake technical works from a contractor or subcontractor must post, in accordance with the new procedure, the digital confirmation of the agreements within three (3) months of the notice received. In this case, no penalties will be imposed, regardless of the project start date specified therein. It is noted that the notice will be sent by e-mail and posted in the "Register and Communication - My Messages" mailbox of the myAADE digital portal.
