Import prices in Greek industry fell by 5.5% in October, but compared to the previous month, import prices rose by 2.3%.

Specifically, the General Index of Import Prices in Industry with October 2024 as the reference month, compared to the corresponding index for October 2023, showed a decrease of 5.5% compared to a decrease of 13.4% recorded when comparing the corresponding indices for the year 2023 with 2022.

The General Index in October 2024, when compared to the September 2024 index, showed an increase of 2.3% compared to a decrease of 3.2% recorded when comparing the corresponding indicators for the year 2023.

The average General Index for the twelve months of November 2023–October 2024, compared to the average General Index for the twelve months of November 2022–October 2023, showed a decrease of 3.4% compared to a decrease of 9.2% in the corresponding comparison of the previous twelve months.
