Turnover for the country's accommodation businesses jumped 17.7% year-on-year in October, while turnover in the restaurant sector was up only 5.1%.

According to ELSTAT, for businesses in the accommodation sector, with the obligation to keep double-entry books, for which data are available on a monthly basis, turnover in October 2024 amounted to 908,300,237 euros, an increase of 17.7% compared to October 2023, when it was 771,809,950 euros.

For enterprises in the Catering Services sector, which are required to keep double-entry books and for which data are available on a monthly basis, turnover in October 2024 amounted to 238,316,228 euros, an increase of 5.1% compared with October 2023, when it amounted to 226,686,750 euros.
