The Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Olga Kefalogianni, signed today the decision approving the aid for the investment project for the upgrading of the facilities of the Karpenisi Ski Centre. The project has a total budget of 9.9 million euros, of which the total public expenditure amounts to €9,795,181.50 euros and includes:
- Supply of an aerial lift
- Supply and installation of a mountain coaster system
- Supply and installation of a new dry slope ski slope
- Supply of two new snow rollers
The inclusion of the project in the Development and Resilience Fund is the fifth application in a row to be approved under the Ministry's program to upgrade ski resort facilities across the country. This decision exhausts the available budget of the program, marking the successful completion of an important stage in the development of Greek tourism.
This initiative is part of the strategy to further upgrade the infrastructure and equipment of the country's ski resorts, with the aim of extending their operation throughout the year and establishing them as an all-season tourist destination, boosting the local economy and employment.
