The Athens Stock Exchange moved higher, with trading activity maintaining elevated levels.
The General Index concluded at 1,271.2 points, recording a 0.51% increase, and turnover at 107.2 million euros. Of this, 16.24 million euros were in 24 packages, while the volume reached 24.8 million shares.
Banking index strengthened by 0.28% to 1,073.81 points, the high-capitalization FTSE closed with a 0.39% increase at 3,096.01 points, and the mid-cap FTSEM stood at 2,116.28 points with a +0.4% gain.
National Bank, with mixed transactions valued at 22.9 million (about 19 on the board), gained 0.55% to 6.2 euros.
Piraeus Bank, with the third-highest turnover of the day at 8.5 million and a gain of 1.07%, Eurobank strengthened by 1.1% with transactions of 7.5 million, while Alpha lost 1.65% with 6.8 million.
Jumbo interrupted its four-day decline after the dividend cut, albeit with a marginal increase of 0.08%, and the second-highest turnover of the day at 11.8 million.
OPAP closed at +0.6%, Motor Oil +0.97%, Aegean +0.57%, GEK Terna +1.07%, and Coca Cola +0.75%, OTE +1.1%, and Lamda +1.14%.
