In order to better serve non-Greek-speaking taxpayers, the Independent Authority for Public Agency (ΑADE) is introducing the English versions of the digital applications:
- Tax Identification Number and Authentication Number, for simultaneous issue of Tax Identification Number and Key Number to natural persons and for the simultaneous application of the same VAT number and Key Number, for the assignment of a Key Number to natural and non-natural persons who already have a VAT number and wish to register/re-register with the digital services of the AADE.
With the English versions of the applications, the work of the AADE is to simplify the procedures addressed to:
- expatriates,
- foreign residents,
- non-Greek-speaking residents of the domestic territory; and
- foreign companies, foreign residents, non-residents, non-residents of the country of origin, non-residents of the country of residence, and foreign businesses
being an effective tool that optimises service and further promotes tax compliance.
"Today we are taking another important step in facilitating citizens and businesses. Our expatriates, as well as non-Greek-speaking taxpayers, can now be efficiently served for the issuance of VAT numbers and key numbers, so that they can access all digital services of the AADE and the Greek public sector," said AADE head George Pitsilis.
