Primary expenditure targets consistent with fiscal policy
Under the new fiscal framework, the European Commission sent Greece net primary expenditure targets that align with the country's fiscal policy planning for the upcoming years.
Primary surplus of €3.15 billion in the five-month period January-May
During the January–May period, a primary surplus of €3.152 billion was recorded, compared to a target of €802 million and €2.300 billion for the same period in 2023.
Primary surplus of €2.95 billion in the first quarter
Almonst €3 billion primary surplus in the first quarter according to preliminary data from State Budget Execution for the period of January – March of 2024.
