On the Athens Stock Exchange, which is attempting to surpass 1,450 points in a session of high volatility and slow pace, buyers have gained a tenuous lead.

Investors' attention is undoubtedly focused on the US, where the June inflation data will be released at noon, which is a crash test for the September rate cut scenario.

In any case, however, the Greek market is showing coolness in the week's exogenous news, having built a sufficient safety distance from the critical supports of 1,400 points.

Against this backdrop, the General Index is up a cautious 0.33% to 1,449.06 points, gaining about five points compared to Wednesday's close (1,444.31 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends to eight points (from 1,442.68 to 1,450.35 points), with trading turnover at 35 million euros, of which 3 million euros are pre-agreed packages.

On the board, Jumbo shares are now sliding by almost 3%, after revising this year's profitability forecasts to the lower range of estimates of 8% to 10%. On the other hand, Piraeus - Ethniki - OPAP are up more than 1%, with Lamda and Aegean hovering around 3%.

The banking index is back in positive territory, up +0.88% to 1,269 points, narrowing the gap from recent highs to below 6%.

Piraeus shares are up +1.2% and €3.696, Ethnikis shares follow at +1.1% and €7.954, Eurobank shares are trading +0.48% and €2.079, while Alpha Bank shares are unchanged at €1.64.

In the high-cap index (+0.22% and 3,521 points), Jumbo's share price shrinks to -2.7% and 25.5 euros (6-month low), as the management's assessments exacerbate the introspection, following yesterday's pressure from the dividend cut. Coca - Cola's shares are also down by around 2%. On the flip side, Aegean's shares soar +3.1% to €12.3, thanks to an improved second quarter, while Titan - Lamda - PPC follow at +2%. The shares of OPAP, Motor Oil, Autohellas also show gains of more than 1%.

As for the mid-cap index (+0.14% and 2,311 points), Lavipharm's shares soar +5.8% and 0.96 euros, boosted by optimistic management estimates. EHAE, EVATH, Intralot and Kri Kri rise by at least 1%. In contrast, Techniki Olympiaki's shares lose about 1.5%.
