In the presence of Romanian Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neaksu, the arrival ceremony of the first gas turbine of the plant was held at the Mintia power plant, implemented by AVAX Group in Romania.

AVAX Group President Christos Ioannou and Group CEO Konstantinos Mitzalis were present for the entire process. The Mintia project has a total generated capacity of 1750 MW and will play an important role in Romania's energy sufficiency.

The new combined cycle plant will feature two 9000HL state-of-the-art gas turbines and one steam turbine from Siemens Energy, using natural gas as fuel.

The award of the project to ABAX by MASS Global Energy Romania seals the long-standing successful cooperation between the two companies since 2016, following the completion of two power plants with a total capacity of 3,150 MW in Baghdad, Iraq.
