Adjusted EBITDA rose significantly by 250% to €30.8 million, compared to €8.8 million in the same period last year, while gross profit increased by 196%, from €17.2 million to €50.9 million.
In addition, cash and cash equivalents increased by 90%, to €115 million (from €60 million), without yet having received very significant amounts from the execution of major infrastructure projects in Romania. There is also no material increase in the Group's debt liabilities, which stand at €140 million, at 80% of equity. ACQUISITION OF AKTOR
On the occasion of the publication of the financial results for the first half of 2024, Intrakat's Vice Chairman of the Board and CEO Mr. Alexandros Exarchou said: "The financial results for the first half of 2024 demonstrate how successful and right the acquisition of AKTOR was and this is clearly demonstrated by everything we have achieved since the completion of the acquisition, until today. We have achieved a significant increase in turnover, multiplying our pre-tax, interest, depreciation and amortisation income and gross profit, and we estimate that by the end of the year turnover will reach €1.1 billion. All of this is entirely consistent with everything we have announced in the past - what we have said, we have done. At the same time, we are working hard on the corporate transformation of our Group, with the aim of strengthening other areas of activity beyond construction, and we will soon present this plan."
